How to choose a Door Closer?
Check the various door widths and door weights as pictured to select the appropriate door closer. For example, if the door width is around 750mm and weighs less than 40kg, we recommend ARCTEK's size 2 door closer. Please refer to ARCTEK's catalogue for more detailed information.
How to choose a Floor Spring?
Check the various door widths and door weights to select the appropriate floor spring. For example, if the door width is around 850mm and weighs less than 80kg(door weight), we recommend the ARCTEK B710 floor spring. Please refer to ARCTEK's catalogue for more detailed information.
How to choose a Panic Exit Device?
If the fire door is single action design, we recommend the ARCTEK Rim type exit device.
Why isn鈥檛 the door closing properly after installing the surface mounted door closer?
Correct installation: The link arm must be installed perpendicular to the door face.
Wrong installation: If the link arm is not installed perpendicularly, the door leaf may not be closed properly.
If the link arm is not installed perpendicular to the face of the door, separate the link arm from the main arm first and adjust to suitable length, then fasten the link arm with screw nut.
Connect link arm to main arm after adjusting the length and make sure it is installed perpendicularly. If not, please repeat the above procedure again.
How to adjust the door closer if it closes too fast or too slow?
Adjust the regulating valve for control of both closing and latching speed. Screw the valve clockwise for decreasing speed and counter-clockwise for increasing speed.
How to adjust the concealed door closer if the door cannot be closed?
Please follow the below diagram for closer adjustments.
Why does the concealed door closer fail to react to adjustment after installation?
Although the application of concealed door closer is divided into L side and R side, both sides have speed valves and all of the internal oil circuits are connected to each other. If the closer fails to react to adjusting closing speed, please make sure all valves have been screwed down tightly.
How to adjust the floor spring from closing too fast or too slow?
Disassemble the cover plate and adjust the speed of closing or latching with the regulator valve. Screw the valve clockwise to decrease the closing speed and counter-clockwise to increase the closing speed.
How to adjust the floor spring when the door leaf is deviated after installation?
Disassemble the cover plate. For left side adjustment, first screw the left regulator clockwise and then screw the right regulator counter-clockwise until the body is tight. For right side adjustment, reverse the above procedures.
How to use power size adjustable floor spring?
To adjust the closing power, disassemble the cover plate and screw the valve clockwise for increasing power size and counter-clockwise for decreasing power size.
